I was a little quiet lately, but of course I'm still into high heels - how could one ever loose this passion? Anyway, I just discovered the blog of an Austrian girl writing about her passion for high heels. Being of the opposite sex, she has of course the advantage of actually being able to wear them. And so she shows pictures of herself in her high heels, both equally beautiful. Her heels all seem to fall into the slim, elegant, pointy stiletto range of high heels - really sexy shoes, so (see this post for example). She has long hair, and I personally much prefer short hair on a woman - it is very nice long hair though, I give her that! ;-)

Amazingly, she also has an obsession with corsets, and another blog dedicated to those! How much better can it get? :-)

Elegant Grey Open Toes

These are a beautiful pair from Gucci I saw on ebay recently. When the toes are pretty, I think open toed high heels are very sexy. This pair here also has a number of other virtues that I adore: they are slim, elegant and simple. They don't scream "footballer's wive" or "binge drinking idiot" in your face. Instead, they look smart, success- and powerful! Wow. And somehow, the fact that I know they are luxurious, expensive Guccis only adds to their sexiness.

No Platform at all

The second pair for today is also from Shoewawa (who, as I just found out, turned of their track back linking. What a pity). With this one I contradict what I had just said about loving shoes that don't look too fragile. Well, these ones do look somewhat fragile, with their stiletto heels and no platforms at all. However, I think shoes as elegant looking as these can be very empowering as well. Also, the combination of patent leather and texturing is very smart, I think. And that's really all I can say.

Ok, so I havn't posted anything here for months. To make up for it, and to show that I'm still a lover of really sexy shoes, I'll do two posts today! Wow.

Number one is about some shoes that I saw on Shoewawa recently. They play this game where you are given (well, presented) a pair of shoes and have to find a fitting outfit. To be honest, I'm not so interested in the outfits, but this particular pair of shoes I think is very sexy. Not fragile at all, very dominant, and the sort of hidden platform makes them very kinky. Shoewawa show the grey version on their site, but I personally prefer the black ones shown here.

Equal parts hooker heel and retro pump

Shoewawa have a post about what they call "Killer Patent Pumps". They are available at Schuh, and quite kinky. I love this one sentence that Ms Shoewawa uses to describe the shoe: "Quite how you'd walk in them is beyond me, but with the Gucci-esque detail on the back of the heel and the rounded pointy toe, they're equal parts hooker heel and retro pump, and epitomise the idea of a f*ck me pump". What a wonderful combination! Showawa actually show the shiny version of the pump, but I like the more dull version shown here.

Stacked Platforms

Christmas is over, New Year has passed, and I can babble on about sexy shoes. A while ago I expressed my admiration for a pair of black Louboutin heels. Thanks to Shoewawa I have now learned that these kinds of shoes are called stacked platforms and are highly fashionable at the moment. Only recently, Showawa featured two new pairs of a similar design, one of the peep-toe variety by Christian Louboutin and one by Stuart Weitzman. I think both are stunning, if somewhat expensive.

About the Louboutin ones Shoewawa says "an interesting mix of chic and (dare I say it) a little bit cheap". I have to say I agree 100%, and that's what makes them so irresistible! It's the same as with the block heels I wrote about earlier.

Amazing Louboutin Ankle Strap Heels

Oh my god... A few days ago, I saw the most amazing shoes on eBay. This is the kind of stuff I would gladly get down on my knees for. You can have beautiful shoes in all kinds of colors and textures, but this kind of elegant black leather is probably unbeatable. These shoes add to it a really slim ankle strap, round toes and leave the sides of the feet almost bare. Finally a beautifully shaped, slim and very high heel and the bright-red sole, which prevents the shoes from looking overly timid. All in all this shoe is of such an amazingly fragile beauty, that I could just sit and stare, if I was to encounter someone wearing them in real life. Probably with my mouth open.

Oh, did I mention they are ridicoulously expensive? They sell for $500 - $600... But I guess that is the price you have to pay for divine beauty, shoe-wise.

Block and Semi-Block Heel

Right, so stiletto heels are absolutely gorgeous. But in fact, thicker heels like block heels or semi block heels (such a term probably doesn't exist, but so what) can sometimes look just as amazing. Also, I imagine they are a bit easier to wear than stilettos.

This style makes for a very different kind of look. It's hard to pinpoint - maybe block heels look a tad bit more vulgar, especially if combined with platforms. That could be perceived as a bad thing, but if found on a shoe that is really elegant at the same time, it's a killer combination. Vulgar elegance - mmhhh.... I have included three examples here, which I particularly like. They all appeared on ebay at some stage. In fact, the black Gucci one is currently on auction there. That one is made of croc leather, which is a very nice detail.

The other two are both Pradas, and seem to be a compromise between the blockier Gucci one and the more popular stiletto/pointy toe style. The best of two worlds, in other words. The black ones (or is it dark blue?) are sequined - very glamorous - and have ankle straps. I don't know, but ankle straps are ridiculously sexy...

Vintage Boots by Sergio Rossi

Sofar I havn't included any boots in my list of really sexy shoes, but boots can of course be extremely sexy. Today I saw these ones by Sergio Rossi on ebay. The vintage lace-up style will probably put off a lot of people. I would agree insofar as this kind of style can easily look quite tacky (not sure if that's the right word). However, in this case I think it has been executed perfectly! I very much like the black and white contrast, and of course the pointy toe and stiletto heel (face it: stiletto heels are simply the sexiest of heels) - overall, these boots have a feeling of weirdness about them, but the kind of weirdness which is very, very sexy.

More Buffalos

Another pair of Buffalos (cf. this post) I discovered on ebay some time last year. Just like the first pair, I find these are rather simple and classy in their basic form - black pointy stilettos -, yet extremely sexy. What makes these shoes special are the white details near the toe (you shoe ladies out there - help me out with a better word for this). Also, if you look really closely, you'll find that the seam around the shoe is white as well.

I know that round toes are probably more fashionable at the moment (and I actually quite like a lot of them), but I think a beautiful pair of pointy heels like these here can still take a man's breath away. Mine, at least. And especially on a pair of beautiful feet like these.

My Favourite Buffalos

Buffalo are widely known for their horrible platform trainers worn by annoying teenagers, but they also make a range of really nice high heels, which are even quite affordable. These here, which I have seen on ebay alot last year, are my absolute favorites. Simple, very classy and very sexy. The double ankle straps are simply kinky (not in a cheap way, but in a gorgeous, divine kind of way), and I love the fact that they are open on the sides, so that you can see the red insoles. Very stylish. And, as I have been told by reliable sources, for heels that high they are actually rather comfortable to wear.

Red Gucci Platforms

Another pair of platforms (found on eBay), this one actually dangerously close to the world of fetish bondage. However, worn by the right kind of women with the right style, these would be sublime. And who could resist a little classy bondage play, anyways (ok, a lot of people could...).

Apparently, they are from the 2003 Tom Ford collection. OK, that's a little old in fashion terms, but being up-to-date is really not one of my concerns. I saw the same shoes in black somewhere else on eBay. Probably a little less extreme.

Black Louboutin Platforms

I saw these on Showawa. A lot of platform heels look pretty trashy, but these are fabulous. I love this kind of black leather, and the stacked wood heel and sole are very cool. Would look perfect in a Habitat living room.
